Mark Pritchard and Thom Yorke are back together for their latest collaboration, “Back in the Game.” The new single marks another chapter in their long-standing creative partnership, which began in 2016 when Yorke provided guest vocals on Pritchard’s track “Beautiful People” from his Under the Sun album. The two also connected in 2011 when Pritchard remixed Radiohead’s “Bloom” for the TKOL RMX 1234567 compilation.
In “Back in the Game,” Pritchard employs the H910 Harmonizer, the first commercially available digital audio effects device, to distort Yorke’s vocals, creating a unique and atmospheric sound. The track has already been a fixture in Yorke’s live performances, having made its debut during his Everything solo tour in Christchurch, New Zealand, last October. Since then, Yorke has played it at every subsequent show, adding further anticipation for its official release.
