Halsey made a triumphant return to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where they discussed their upcoming For My Last Trick tour, their recent engagement, and the personal challenges that shaped their latest album, The Great Impersonator.
Reflecting on their deep love for performing, Halsey expressed excitement about returning to the stage after a few years off due to personal setbacks. “I love touring,” they shared with Fallon. “It’s hard to get me home, to be honest. It’s just part of your brain, you have to be out there performing.”
The singer revealed that after years of continuous touring, the COVID-19 pandemic, pregnancy, and illness kept them off the road. “I toured for, like, eight years straight,” Halsey explained. “Then, you know, there was COVID, and I got pregnant, and I got sick. I was home for a while and thought, ‘Can I go back?’”
