Dolly Parton and Sabrina Carpenter have teamed up for a new version of Carpenter’s hit song, “Please Please Please,” giving the track a fresh country music twist. As part of Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Deluxe album, the song features the iconic “9 to 5” singer alongside the rising pop star, adding a touch of country flair to the already beloved tune.
Accompanying the release is a playful new music video where Parton and Carpenter channel the spirit of Thelma and Louise, cruising in a pickup truck with a man in the cargo bed. The duo’s chemistry shines as they belt out the song together, bringing a fun and memorable vibe to the visual.
Carpenter shared the video on Instagram with the caption, “Dolly and me singing in a pickup truck!!!!!!” She expressed her admiration for Parton, writing, “I am so honored to have one of my biggest idols on a song that means so much to me. Love you forever @dollyparton.”
Dolly, too, took to Instagram to share her excitement, posting a behind-the-scenes video of the two meeting for the first time. In the clip, Dolly quips, “Turns out, two things can be short and sweet,” referencing Carpenter’s album. The two stars share a lighthearted exchange as they sing parts of the song together. “You had to get your Dolly in there, didn’t you?” Parton asks, to which Carpenter responds, “I mean, I want Dolly in everything. Thank you for being you.”
The collaboration between the two artists is a heartwarming celebration of their shared musical connection, and fans are loving the blend of their voices and personalities.
