Lizzo has officially teased her next musical era with an emotional clip released on Valentine’s Day. The superstar went live on Twitch on February 14, overcoming some technical hiccups before unveiling the heartfelt teaser.
The video, featuring a close-up of Lizzo crying while gazing into the camera, is set to a haunting flute melody. The emotional moment shifts to laughter, before Lizzo, tears still streaming down her face, gives a deadpan stare into the lens. The teaser ends with a key date: February 28.
Though Lizzo didn’t confirm whether the release would be a song or a full album, she shared that she’s been working on music for two years and “took my time and did it right.” She added, “The new era begins today.”
Lizzo later marked the end of her Special era with a bold video in which she spray-painted “Bye B—-” over the album’s cover.
