At the 32nd Hanteo Music Awards held in Seoul on Saturday, K-pop giants TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) and aespa were the biggest winners, claiming the night’s highest accolades.
Aespa secured the Grand Prize for Best Artist, while TXT took home the Grand Prize for Best Performance. Aespa expressed their gratitude, saying, “Thanks to all the love you gave us last year, we received this great award. From ‘Supernova’ to ‘Whiplash,’ our members have worked hard together. We will work even harder in the future.”
TXT had a stellar night, winning five awards, including the Grand Prize, Artist of the Year Main Prize, and Top Touring Artist Award. Member Yeonjun also earned the Global Artist Award in North America for his solo work. “Last year was truly meaningful as we were able to perform on many stages that we only dreamed of. In 2025, the five of us will stay united and continue achieving our dreams, so please stay with us,” they stated.
The group delivered an impressive performance, including “Deja Vu” and “Over the Moon,” from their recent albums. Yeonjun also performed his solo track, “GGUM,” which contributed to his limited edition album topping Hanteo’s Daily Album Chart. Their albums “Minisode 3: Tomorrow” and “The Star Chapter: Sanctuary” both exceeded 1.5 million sales in their first week.
Meanwhile, K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE also shone, winning two awards: Artist of the Year Main Prize and Global Generation Icon. Member Minnie was honored with The Most Prime Solo award for her debut mini-album “HER,” released in January. She thanked her fans and company staff, promising continued growth as both a solo artist and as a member of (G)I-DLE.
Newcomers Say My Name and Nowadays received the Blooming Star Award, celebrating their debut successes in 2024.
