Country music star Eric Church is stepping up in a big way to support his home state of North Carolina following the devastating impacts of Hurricane Helene. Church has announced a large-scale project to provide relief for families displaced by the disaster.
Through his Chief Cares foundation, Church is set to break ground on a major housing initiative aimed at helping 100 families who lost their homes to the hurricane. The foundation has already secured land outside of Newland, in Avery County, and plans to begin construction in April. The goal is to have 40 homes ready for residents by June, with a total of 100 homes to be completed in the near future.
Church’s commitment to rebuilding and aiding the victims reflects his deep connection to his community and his determination to make a real difference in the wake of such a devastating natural disaster.
