Lady Gaga is set to bring the mayhem to Saturday Night Live on March 8, where she will both host and perform, just one day after the release of her highly anticipated seventh studio album. This marks Gaga’s second time hosting and her fifth appearance as a musical guest on the iconic sketch show.
Gaga’s history with SNL dates back to 2009 when she first appeared as a musical guest, and she has returned multiple times, including a memorable double-duty appearance in 2013. In addition to her performances, she made surprise cameos, such as in 2023 when she introduced Bad Bunny as the musical guest.
The March 1 episode will feature Tate McRae making her SNL debut as musical guest, with Shane Gillis returning to host for the second time. This follows his controversial firing in 2019 and comes after McRae’s album So Close to What was released. The announcement comes on the heels of a star-studded SNL 50th Anniversary Special and the Homecoming Concert.
