Ryan Tedder and Punjabi artist Karan Aujla are about to make musical history with their groundbreaking collaboration, set to release on February 27. The track marks the first English-Punjabi fusion for both OneRepublic and Aujla. The collaboration came about after Tedder’s longtime friend, Savan Kotecha, introduced him to Aujla’s work, which quickly caught his attention.
While performing in India at Lollapalooza in January 2024, Tedder was introduced to Aujla’s music by locals and promoters, and was impressed by the emerging Punjabi subgenre that’s rapidly gaining global recognition. Tedder recalls, “This is super tight. This is different.”
The song will also feature a music video starring Indian actress Disha Patani. Aujla shared his excitement, saying, “We feel like we manifested doing this with you, Ryan.
