Megan Moroney has shared a deeply emotional, stripped-back rendition of Kenny Chesney’s 2020 hit, Knowing You, offering a fresh take on the fan-favorite ballad. Featured on Chesney’s Here and Now album, the song tells the story of a protagonist reflecting on a lost romance with a mixture of nostalgia and longing.
Moroney’s version showcases her signature, captivating vocals, which glide over the gentle strum of her acoustic guitar. The Georgia native infuses the song with even more emotion, emphasizing the poignant lyrics of a love now past: “Knowin’ you, you probably got your toes in the sand / At a bar on a beach in the sun somewhere.”
This release follows Moroney’s powerful start to 2025, having recently shared a live version of her current country radio single Am I Okay?, recorded during a surprise performance with Kenny Chesney at his packed stadium show in Foxborough, Massachusetts last August.
