Cardi B and DJ Khaled have teamed up once again, this time for a family-friendly track, “Higher Love,” featured on the Smurfs Movie Soundtrack. The upbeat anthem also includes vocals from Natania and Subhi, with a nod to Belinda Carlisle’s classic 1987 hit “Heaven Is a Place on Earth.”
The song showcases a more wholesome side of Cardi B, who typically delivers edgier lyrics. However, her verse still carries sharp lines, possibly aimed at her ex Offset, as she raps, “Everybody need love and I need some too/ Diamonds look sad ’cause each one blue.” As 2025 unfolds, both Cardi B and DJ Khaled have busy years ahead, with Cardi’s long-awaited album and Khaled’s upcoming Aalam of God project.
