Escape the Fate guitarist TJ Bell had a good feeling before hitting the road with the band’s latest album, Out of the Shadows. He was confident that their live show would resonate with fans. “This is a true story, man,” Bell shared. “Craig (Mabbitt, vocalist) and I have these nightmares before shows, but last night was the first time everything worked perfectly. I woke up thinking, ‘It’s going to be great.’”
The band’s positive outlook is reflected in their ongoing winter and spring tour, where they perform a mix of tracks from their latest album alongside fan favorites from their career. Out of the Shadows delves into metalcore, post-hardcore, emo, screamo, and hard rock, with heavy, dark lyrics featured in songs like “Rather Be Dead,” “Fun in Funeral,” “Traumatized,” and “Kings of Nothing.”
