Walpole, Massachusetts-based cosmic death metal band Ancient Death has unveiled details of their highly anticipated debut album, Ego Dissolution. Slated for release in April 2025 via Profound Lore Records, the album marks a significant milestone for the band.
The record, produced and mixed by Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets and mastered by Dan Lowndes at Resonance Sound, dives deep into themes of personal growth, isolation, and the complexities of human emotions. The album’s cover art is created by Maegan LeMay, known for her work with bands like Morbosidad and Cirith Ungol.
Ancient Death shared that Ego Dissolution explores emotions such as depression, love, grief, and inner peace. The band hopes their introspective journey will inspire empathy and compassion both within themselves and among listeners.
