Travis Scott had a standout moment in Florida, when he threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Houston Astros’ spring training opener against the Washington Nationals. The rap music star, a longtime Astros fan, was also honored with a special bobblehead created in his likeness for the occasion.
The event took place at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches, the Major League Baseball training facility where Scott has a multi-year naming-rights deal. Scott is also behind the hard seltzer brand CACTI, his record label and publishing company, Cactus Jack, and the Cactus Jack Foundation, which provides educational and creative resources to young people.
In addition to his sports-related ventures, Scott recently announced his foundation’s collaboration with the Fashion Scholarship Fund to launch the Cactus Jack Design Ethos 101 Program. The online program will provide $10,000 scholarships and mentorship to students pursuing careers in design.
