Panama-based alt-rock duo AlphaWhores have announced their highly anticipated second album, You Can Come Out Now, set for release on June 13th, 2025. Alongside the album announcement, the band has dropped their raucous new single, Pirate Mode, a powerful anthem that reflects resilience in the face of life’s challenges.
In a statement, AlphaWhores described Pirate Mode as an exploration of emotional strength. “Going into ‘Pirate Mode’ involves thickening one’s skin to better withstand life’s harsher blows,” they explained. The track is characterized by their signature vocal harmonies, which are layered over aggressive guitar fuzz and thundering drums, driven by two distinct time signatures.
You Can Come Out Now was produced by double-Grammy Award-winning producer Adrian Bushby, known for his work with Foo Fighters and Muse, who traveled to Panama to record with the band. Mixing duties were handled by Evan Rodaniche, who also worked on AlphaWhores’ debut album I and their recent cover of Hot Chip’s Over and Over.
