Ella Langley is celebrating her first No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart with her breakout hit “You Look Like You Love Me,” featuring Riley Green. The song has also earned Langley a CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year.
The journey to success started during a casual writing session in Nashville with songwriter Aaron Raitiere. The duo quickly crafted the song’s verses, pulling from life’s unpredictable moments. Raitiere’s eccentric style made for a creative and dynamic writing process, leading to the song’s unexpected success.
Langley initially thought the track would only be a fun addition to bonfire nights, but her manager, Maya Hansen, saw the potential and pushed for its inclusion on Langley’s album Excuse the Mess. The song’s radio play skyrocketed, and its streaming numbers soon followed, propelling the duet to stardom.
The song’s success led to an exciting partnership with Green, who invited Langley to join him on his Damn Country Music Tour starting in March 2025. The highly anticipated tour will span the nation, bringing Langley’s infectious energy to both stadiums and intimate venues, with tickets selling fast. The tour will continue well into late 2025, as the buzz surrounding Langley’s live performances continues to build.
