North Carolina-based artist Robin “Sh8kes” Williamson released his latest single, “Move On,” featuring a guest verse from Bay Area rap music icon The Grouch of Living Legends. The emotionally charged track, produced by Skii, marks Sh8kes’ first release since his 2024 EP Necessary Pain.
“Move On” carries a deep message about the transformative power of letting go. Sh8kes, known for his evocative spoken word and motivational speaking, explained the inspiration behind the song, stating, “This track is about the value and power in letting go and moving on. Sometimes that’s hard to do because of the love you might have for someone, but there comes a time when we start to become harmful to ourselves with resentment.” He added that releasing negativity opens the door for healthier relationships, purposeful opportunities, and soul-nurturing love.
