Pete Doherty has released his tranquil new single “Calvados,” offering fans another glimpse into his upcoming solo album, Felt Better Alive. The track follows the deeply personal title song, setting the stage for more intimate, reflective music from the singer-songwriter.
“Calvados” draws inspiration from the natural beauty of Normandy, where Doherty currently resides, reflecting his connection to the world around him. In addition to the song, Doherty invited fans to create an official music video, with an animation by Natalie Sidorenko of SadLip emerging as the winner from numerous global submissions. Sidorenko shared that her design aimed to capture the “loving relationship between the farmer and his wife,” symbolized by their shared craft of making the iconic Calvados apple brandy.
Alongside the release, Doherty has announced a series of intimate in-store performances across the UK, offering fans a chance to experience his music up close.
