Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour continues to make waves, as the band dominates January’s Boxscore recap with groundbreaking performances in India. Over the course of nine shows between January 9 and 26, the British band grossed $56.6 million and sold 590,000 tickets, according to Billboard Boxscore.
The tour’s success marks Coldplay’s sixth appearance atop the monthly Top Tours ranking, solidifying its reputation as a global touring powerhouse. Notably, the Ahmedabad shows broke the record for the largest stadium performances of the 21st century, with 111,581 and 111,989 tickets sold on January 25 and 26, respectively—surpassing George Strait’s previous record of 110,905 tickets.
As Coldplay continues to rewrite the record books, their Music of the Spheres tour is cementing its place in history.
