Illit’s debut single “Magnetic” has been certified double platinum in Japan, achieving this remarkable milestone in record time, according to their agency Belift Lab and the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Released as the lead track from their debut EP Super Real Me in March 2024, the song surpassed 200 million streams by January 2025, marking the shortest time ever for a female group to reach this achievement.

“Magnetic” earned its platinum certification after just three months, setting a new record for girl groups. The track also made an impressive impact on streaming platforms, with over 540 million plays on Spotify and the music video amassing 200 million views on YouTube. Illit’s success continued with a rookie award at the Japan Record Awards in 2024, becoming the first K-pop girl group to win the honor in 13 years.
