BTS member J-Hope kicked off his highly anticipated solo world tour, “Hope on the Stage,” with three sold-out concerts at the KSPO Dome in Seoul. The shows marked his first performances since completing his military service last October.
On the final night, the venue was electric as fans chanted J-Hope’s name before the concert began. Dressed in a striking red outfit and sunglasses, he opened the show with “What if …” and “Pandora’s Box,” showcasing his deep-toned rapping under intense lighting. The performance took a dramatic turn with “Arson,” where he set the stage ablaze both literally and figuratively.
The concert was divided into five themed sections: Ambition, Dream, Expectation, Fantasy, and Wish, reflecting J-Hope’s journey as a solo artist. The mood shifted with paper butterflies falling from the ceiling as he performed “On the Street,” highlighting his passion for street dance. Tracks from his special album “Hope on the Street Vol. 1” followed, expressing his lifelong love for street dance.
A notable feature of the concert was the intricate stage setup, featuring 26 lifts that transformed into various scenes, creating an immersive experience for the audience. J-Hope performed a wide range of songs, including “Airplane + Airplane Pt. 2,” “MIC Drop,” “Outro: Ego,” “Daydream,” and “Chicken Noodle Soup,” showcasing his diverse musical talents.
The highlight of the evening was a special performance of his new song, “Sweet Dreams,” set to release soon. Fans lit up the venue with their phone flashlights as J-Hope sang. He explained that “Sweet Dreams” was inspired by the realization that love is lacking in today’s world and his desire to create a proper love song.
The Seoul concerts were live-streamed on Weverse with translations available in eight languages. J-Hope will continue his tour with shows in the U.S. and Asia, promising to stay safe and healthy while spreading hope through his music.
