K-pop will have a significant presence at this year’s Lollapalooza Chicago music festival.
For the first time, the popular K-pop girl group Twice will headline the event, joining other major headliners such as Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Doechii.
In addition to Twice, several other Korean acts are scheduled to perform, including boy bands BoyNextDoor and KickFlip, girl group Katseye, and rock bands Xdinary Heroes and Wave to Earth.
The four-day festival will take place from July 31 to August 3 at Grant Park in Chicago, where it has been held annually since 2005. Organizers expect 115,000 visitors each day. While the final lineup was revealed on Wednesday, the specific performance dates for each artist have not been announced yet.
Lollapalooza, which began as a touring festival in 1991, has since expanded to multiple locations globally, including Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia.
