K-pop once again made a significant impact on the global music scene at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 17.
Jimin of BTS, Stray Kids, and ATEEZ were among the winners at the prestigious U.S. event.
According to the iHeartRadio website, Jimin took home the K-pop Song of the Year award for his track “Who,” the lead single from his second solo album. The song has remained on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for an impressive 32 consecutive weeks.
Stray Kids won K-pop Album of the Year for their EP “Ate,” while ATEEZ claimed the K-pop Artist of the Year award. The group has been actively promoting their “Golden Hour” EP series and world tour.
New girl group ILLIT received the K-pop Best New Artist award for their song “Magnetic.”
In the fan-voted Favorite K-pop Dance Challenge category, Yeonjun from TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) won for his song “Ggum.”
The iHeartRadio Awards, launched in 2014, are hosted by iHeartRadio, a U.S.-based online radio station. The awards honor the most-played acts and songs on the platform and its app, with some categories decided by fan votes.
