LONDON – K-pop sensation Tomorrow X Together (TXT) is excited to kick off their European tour debut, feeling refreshed and more connected after a two-month break, the group shared.
Big Hit Music, the label behind TXT and K-pop giants BTS, announced in January that the band would be taking a “long-term break” to rest and spend time with their families. This followed an announcement from leader Soobin, 24, about taking time off for health reasons.
“This was the first time we had such a long break. It gave us time to reflect,” said Hueningkai, 22, in an interview just before their performance at London’s O2 Arena on March 25.
Hueningkai added, “It actually brought us closer and helped us think more about ourselves as a team and as artists.” The break allowed him to enjoy a trip to South Korea’s Jeju Island, indulge in good food, and travel to Japan with friends.
“Rest is just as important as work because it really inspires me,” said Taehyun, 23.
The group, which also includes Soobin, Yeonjun (25), Beomgyu (24), and Hueningkai, last performed in Singapore in September 2024. Their concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium was part of the same tour that continues across Europe.
For fans in Singapore, there’s another way to experience TXT: their debut virtual reality (VR) concert, Hyperfocus: Tomorrow X Together VR Concert, will be screened at Golden Village’s Bugis+ from April 10 to 27. Tickets are priced at $39 and come with two random photocards and a keepsake ticket.
Since their debut in March 2019, TXT has built a strong fanbase known as Moa (short for “Moments Of Alwaysness”). Their hits, like Blue Hour (2020), 0X1=Lovesong (I Know I Love You) (2021), and Sugar Rush Ride (2023), have solidified their place in the K-pop world.
Their album Minisode 3: Tomorrow was ranked as the 10th best-selling global album of 2024 by the IFPI. TXT also ranked seventh on the IFPI’s list of top global recording artists for 2023.
TXT’s European tour began in Barcelona, Spain, on March 20 and will also stop in Berlin, Paris, and Amsterdam. Fans can expect an exciting show, as Hueningkai revealed, “The setlist is very colourful and diverse, with some solo stages we’ve never shown before.”
In addition to the tour, Beomgyu will make his solo debut with his mixtape Panic on March 27. As for future releases, TXT teased fans, saying they’ll have to wait and see for any new music.
