The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will host Nashville-based pop-rock band The Band Light on Friday, April 11, 2025, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Turner Center Art Park, located at 605 North Patterson St. This performance is part of the 2025 Levitt AMP Valdosta Music Series, which features 10 free live concerts. The series is sponsored by the Mortimer and Mimi Levitt Foundation, The Price-Campbell Foundation, WALB News 10, Lamar Advertising, and the Valdosta Daily Times.
The Band Light consists of Jack Glenn (bass/vocals), Konnor Dolberry (lead vocals), Garrett Goodrich (lead guitar/vocals), and Trevor Young (drums/vocals). The group, all in their early twenties, formed through their high school theater experience, particularly a student production of Footloose that was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Describing themselves as a “rock n roll boy band,” their mix of old-school musicality and dynamic stage presence has earned them a passionate following across the U.S. and beyond.
The band has performed on notable stages, including the Penn State THON, the SuperGirl Surf Pro music festival, and BMI’s Nashville showcase. They’ve also played alongside the Jonas Brothers during their “THE TOUR” and toured with Quarters of Change and New Hope Club in 2024. Despite their busy touring schedule, The Band Light continues to release new music that blends classic rock with a modern twist.
“We are excited to bring these free concerts to our community each Friday as part of the Levitt AMP Valdosta Music Series,” said Dr. Sementha Mathews, Executive Director of the Turner Center. “We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the concert at the Turner Center Art Park, then head to the Bluesberry Festival in Downtown Valdosta this weekend. It’s a great time to explore everything our community has to offer.”
