Nige B, a rapper from the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, is preparing to release his latest album this Friday. Titled Reshape // Refashion, the album marks his fifth release in as many years. His previous works include Circa 1990 (2021), In Retrospect (2022), U R What U R (2023), and U R What U R – Vol. 2 (2024).
The new album, according to Nige B, focuses on themes of self-improvement, growth, and transformation. He describes it as a reflection of his personal journey, from humble beginnings to evolving as an artist. “It’s about pushing forward, learning to adapt, and embracing change,” Bell explained.
He added that listeners will notice an improvement in production quality, with clearer sound and more interesting arrangements. “I took time off from work to focus on this project, and it shows,” he said. “The overall vibe is different. The artists I worked with were all in sync, and it felt like the songs wrote themselves.”
One standout moment for Bell was collaborating with one of his favorite artists, Coletta, on the track My Body. The song also features Rezcoast Grizz and Dubbygotbars. “When I reached out to Coletta and sent him the instrumental, I was thrilled when he agreed to join in. It was an incredible experience,” Bell said. “It’s not every day you get to work with someone you admire, and this track has become one of my favorites because of it.”
Nige B, a Woodland Cree artist, is known for his unique blend of contemporary hip-hop, soul, and alternative music. His work often focuses on resilience, identity, and healing. Over the years, Bell has earned more than 30 music award nominations in both Canada and the United States, with six wins to his name.
In addition to his solo work under the name Nige B, Bell has also released two albums as Velcro Stories. Reshape // Refashion promises to be another powerful chapter in his growing career.
