Bain, a member of the K-pop group Just B, made a powerful statement on stage during a concert in Los Angeles on April 22, revealing his LGBTQ+ identity while performing the final night of their JUST ODD World Tour. The 23-year-old singer, known for his role in the band, shared the news with his audience before performing his next song.

“I’m f***ing proud to be part of the LGBT community,” Bain told the crowd, sparking loud cheers and applause. He went on to thank Lady Gaga, whose hit song Born This Way became the anthem for his moment of self-expression. “Shout-out to my queen Lady Gaga for showing me that being yourself is beautiful,” Bain said, adding, “To everyone out there who’s part of the LGBTQ+ or still figuring it out, this is for you. And also, this is for everyone. You’re seen, you’re loved, and you are born this way.”

Bain then performed a remixed version of Gaga’s iconic song, celebrating individuality and acceptance. He later shared similar sentiments in an Instagram post, further expressing his pride and support for the LGBTQ+ community.

As the show concluded, Bain thanked his fans for their support, saying, “Today, it means a lot to me. I’m so happy that I can be myself,” receiving cheers from the audience. His bandmates also voiced their support, and Bain ended the night with a heartfelt message: “Until next time: stay bold, stay fierce, and always, always be your true self.”

Fans flooded his Instagram with messages of support. One fan wrote, “I’m so proud of you kiddo. Always love yourself because WE LOVE YOU!!!!” Another commented, “You are an inspiration for so many people.”

Bain, also known for his appearances on the reality shows Under Nineteen and Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survivor, has made his LGBTQ+ identity public in an industry where such openness is rare. While homosexuality is legal in South Korea, same-sex marriage is not recognized, and discrimination remains widespread, according to Human Rights Watch.

Just B, which debuted in 2021, has released five EPs, multiple singles, and one album, ÷.
