The Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts will present indie pop artist Marielle Kraft from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Turner Center Art Park, located at 605 North Patterson Street.
This concert is part of the 2025 Levitt AMP Valdosta Music Series and marks the eighth of 10 free performances. The series is sponsored by the Mortimer and Mimi Levitt Foundation, The Price-Campbell Foundation, WALB News 10, Lamar Advertising, and the Valdosta Daily Times.
Marielle Kraft, now based in Nashville, is known for her honest songwriting and heartfelt performances. Her style draws comparisons to artists like Colbie Caillat, Maisie Peters, and Taylor Swift. A native of Rhode Island, Kraft taught herself to play guitar at 16 and soon began writing songs that connected with audiences everywhere.
Her storytelling stands out through her vivid details, emotional depth, and thoughtful word choices. Over the years, Kraft has self-released two original EPs, eight singles, and four official music videos. Her debut single, “How Far You Feel,” released in 2017, has earned over 1 million streams across platforms.
In 2019, Kraft released her debut studio EP, The Deep End, featuring popular songs like “Toothbrush” and “Better Without You.” She has performed at venues across the country and shared stages with artists such as Mt. Joy, Ava Max, and Betty Who.
Kraft’s live performances are known for their strong storytelling. She creates an emotional and encouraging experience, connecting deeply with her audiences and turning strangers into a close-knit community.
The public is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for the concert. The opening act will be the VMS Jazz Ensemble. Food will be provided by Burritos Mexican Grill, and beverages will be available from Downtown Social. Community partners for the event include Second Harvest Food Bank and Living Bridges.
