Doja Cat has clarified that she has not injured her neck despite wearing a neck brace in a recent photo.
While speaking to Entertainment Tonight at a Victoria’s Secret event in New York City on Wednesday, the Demons artist assured fans that her recent Instagram post, in which she was wearing a neck brace, was not actually indicative of an injury.
“I’m fine, my neck is fine,” Doja told the outlet. “So my friend here, my date, my lovely date got whiplash and he takes it off sometimes and I stole it from him.”
She added, “I’m literally fine. Totally fine, my neck is great.”
Earlier in the day, Doja posted two photos of herself wearing the neck brace on social media. At the time, she did not reveal the details behind the photos.
The musician is scheduled to perform at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on September 12 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. She is nominated for six awards, including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year for her song Attention, and Song of the Summer for Paint The Town Red.
