Chris Brown has hit back at Tinashe for commenting on their 2015 collaboration, “Player.

The R&B singer expressed regret over the song, claiming that executives at his former label, RCA Records, suggested Chris’ feature to create “this big moment” during a recent interview on The Zach Sang Show.

“So I feel like in their minds they were like, ‘You need the endorsement. He was their biggest artist that they had on rhythm radio at the time. To me, I was like, ‘Well, this is a pop song. So I really don’t feel like we should put Chris on it. It doesn’t work for me, but I don’t know,” she said.

“That’s not like totally bad, maybe it doesn’t totally make sense to me, but, like, you know, there’s a kind of, like, compromise and, like, I’m just trying to, like, figure out how to navigate that scenario.”

In response to her comments, the Kiss Kiss hitmaker wrote in an Instagram post, “NAME 5 TINASHE songs or die … EVERYBODY DEAD,” implying that no one knows Tinashe’s music.

He went on to say, “She full of dat evil. Shawty career is non-existent. What’s more embarrassing is that she worked with all these people and not one of us could save her career.

In the interview, the singer, who is fully named Tinashe Kachingwe, also discussed Let’s Be Real Now, her 2015 collaboration with R. Kelly. She called it “so embarrassing” and shared that she forgets “that it even exists.”

R. Kelly is currently in prison as a result of federal sex abuse charges, while Chris was in disgrace for his 2009 assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna.
