Eminem is rumored to be the top pick to headline Glastonbury’s iconic Pyramid Stage next year. Co-organizer Emily Eavis has reportedly made several attempts to secure the rap legend for the renowned festival in the past. However, insiders now believe that Eminem’s recent resurgence could finally pave the way for his appearance at Worthy Farm in 2025.
A source revealed to The Sun’s Bizarre column: “It’s been a long time coming, but finally, after years of trying, Emily might get her wish. While it’s not a done deal, his successful comeback makes a major headline slot next year seem likely. Everyone behind the scenes is hopeful it will work out.”
Eminem recently topped the charts with his latest single, “Houdini,” from his forthcoming album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce). The track creatively blends elements of Eminem’s classics with “Abracadabra” by the Steve Miller Band. The accompanying video features nods to the rapper’s iconic “Without Me” music video, including appearances by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Pete Davidson. Eminem even revived his signature bleach blonde hairstyle for the visual.
The rap icon announced his new album during the 2024 NFL Draft in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan, on April 25. Joining NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to kick off the Annual Player Selection Meeting, Eminem premiered a trailer featuring a faux news report announcing the demise of his alter ego, Slim Shady. The mock report highlighted Slim Shady’s controversial legacy, with a voiceover stating: “Through his complex and often-criticised, tongue-twisting rhymes, the blonde anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies.” Fellow rapper 50 Cent contributed, calling Slim Shady “a psychopath.”
In March, Dr. Dre confirmed his involvement in Eminem’s upcoming album on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. He shared: “Eminem is working on his album, set to release this year. I talked to him, and he allowed me to announce it here. I’ve got songs on it, and it’s fire. I’ll hear the entire album for the first time tomorrow. He’s very secretive with his music, so I haven’t heard everything, but I’m excited for its release.”
