Bryan Adams is set to return to London’s Royal Albert Hall for a three-night residency next year.
The 63-year-old rocker had such a great time at the iconic venue in 2022, he is set to do it all over again from May 13-15, 2024 and admits it was a “no brainer”.
He said: “Our last visit to the Royal Albert Hall was such a great series of shows that it was a no-brainer to come back and do it again.
Bryan plans to perform one album in full each night, ’18 Til I Die’, ‘Reckless’ and ‘So Happy It Hurts’, as well as his greatest hits.
The London date will be followed by shows in Coventry, Sheffield and Cardiff before he heads over to Ireland to play in Dublin on May 21, 2024, before making the short trip to Northern Ireland to perform in Belfast on May 22 next year.
It follows Bryan’s three-night residency at London’s Royal Albert Hall in May 2020, which was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The “Summer of ’69” singer lashed out, claiming “bat-eating” people had caused the coronavirus pandemic and blaming wet markets – where animals are sold live and slaughtered for food and medicine – for “stopping the whole world”.
He wrote on social media at the time: “Tonight was supposed to be the start of a lease of gigs at @royalalberthall, but thanks to some f****** bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy b******* the whole world is now on hold, not to mention the thousands who have suffered or died from this virus.
“Take care of yourselves and hope we can get the show back on the road soon. Over the next few days, I’ll be playing a song from each of the albums we were supposed to play. X #songsfromisolation #covid_19 #banwetmarkets #selfisolation #bryanadamscutslikeaknife #govegan”.
But Bryan later apologized for his comments, insisting he was just having a “rant” about animal cruelty and trying to encourage people to try a plant-based diet.
