Blossoms are set to play the biggest concert of their career in Manchester this summer.

The indie rockers – who recently released new single ‘To Do List (After The Breakup)’ – will headline Wythenshawe Park for a huge outdoor show over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The all-day event – which has been announced for August 25th – will see the group joined by a stacked line-up including Inhaler, Shed Seven, The K’s, Seb Lowe and TTRRUUCES.

Frontman Tom Ogden said in a statement: “Headlining our biggest show yet at Wythenshawe Park will be THE moment of our career so far for us.

“It makes me think about me and Joe going to see Oasis and The Stone Roses at Heaton Park when we were teenagers and how important these big summer shows in Manchester are to people.

“It made us want to be in a band, influenced what we wore and changed our lives forever.

“To misquote Dorothy, ‘Guys, I have a feeling we’re not on Oldham Street anymore!'”

Tickets will go on sale at 10am GMT on November 10, while those who pre-order the band’s forthcoming fifth album – due out next summer – will get access to a pre-sale the morning before.

Tom recently opened up about their latest single ‘To Do List (After The Breakup)’ and highlighted the importance of Manchester music.

He explained: “We initially kicked the song around as a band in a way that we did when we first started – all in the round together in our rehearsal room.

“It’s something we haven’t really been able to do for a long time, but it felt so natural and euphoric for the five of us!

“Some of the song’s DNA is in the local Manchester bands we grew up listening to from our parents’ record collections, bands like New Order and James.

It was inspired by a poem of the same name by Rupi Kaur, which “captured the feeling of heartbreak so well”.
