Liam Payne went to Ireland to shoot a music video.
The 30-year-old singer landed in Ireland last month and filmed his latest clip, but the song’s release has been delayed until next year after he was hospitalized in Italy in September when he suffered excruciating kidney pain while vacationing in Lake Como with girlfriend Kate Cassidy.
A source told The Sun’s Bizarre column: “Liam flew to Ireland in October to film the video, but while fans saw him out and about, he managed to keep the shoot under wraps.
“The release was originally scheduled for the end of 2023, but Liam’s hospitalization in September pushed the timeline back.”
Liam is now planning to release his new single “in the early months of 2024”.
The source added: “He’s doing great now and the plan is to drop the comeback single in the early months of 2024. After a lot of searching, he’s finally found his sound”.
Liam’s mother, Karen Payne, previously revealed she was worried about her son amid his kidney problems in Italy.
She told MailOnline: “We’re all worried sick about it, but we just have to get on with it.
“It’s terrible – him being all the way over there.
“It’s such a terrible situation and we’re just hoping he’s in the best place possible.
“He’s in Milan and it sounds like he’s going to be there for a week. I feel helpless.”
But days later, Liam’s girlfriend Kate confirmed the singer had been discharged from hospital and was doing well.
She told her TikTok followers: “He’s doing so much better. He is out of hospital and in good hands”.
Weeks before his hospitalization in Italy, Liam canceled a series of shows in South America after revealing he’d been treated for a serious kidney infection.
