She and George Daniel are engaged, Charli XCX has announced.
After dating for more than a year, the British singer-songwriter took to Instagram on Tuesday to reveal that she and The 1975 drummer are engaged.
Charli, 31, posted two photos of herself posing with her fiancé, 33, as well as a photo of a tray of tea with the sparkling engagement ring.
“charli xcx and george daniel f**king for life!!!” the singer captioned the post.
Kind messages from the couple’s friends and fans quickly filled the comments section of the post.
1975 frontman Matty Healy wrote, “I’m crying,” and Dua Lipa said, “aaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!! LOVE THIS!!! congratulations lovebirds!!!!!”
In addition, Rita Ora wrote, “How did I just know this was going to happen. Yesssss.”
The exciting news comes months after the Speed Drive hitmaker jokingly commented on The 1975’s Instagram post, “Stop touring, George needs a ring.”
It’s unclear exactly when the couple started dating, but they apparently became Instagram official after posting photos of themselves on vacation together in May 2022.
