After six years of marriage, Cardi B has confirmed that she and Offset have split.
Cardi confirmed speculation that she and Offset had called it quits during an Instagram Live on Sunday night.
“I’ve been single for a little while now,” she told her fans. “But I’ve been scared – not scared, I just don’t know how to tell the world. But I feel like today was a sign. The last time I was on Live, I wanted to tell you guys, but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But it has been like that for a minute now. I just took it as a sign.”
Cardi continued, “So I want to start 2024 fresh, open. I don’t know, I’m excited for a new life, a new beginning. Yeah, I’m excited.”
Rumors that the duo, both 31, were on the outs began after fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on Instagram earlier this month.
In addition, the Bodak Yellow rapper shared cryptic messages on her Instagram Stories last week. She wrote, “You know when you just outgrow relationships” and “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings…I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST!”
Meanwhile, the Migos rapper took to X/Twitter on Sunday to deny recent cheating allegations from rapper Blueface, writing, “I ain’t never talk or touch that lady. Real talk man you need some help!”
On September 20, 2017, the estranged couple quietly tied the knot. They have two children together, five-year-old Kulture and two-year-old Wave.
The couple initially split in 2018, shortly after Kulture’s birth, after Offset was at the center of cheating rumors. In early 2019, Cardi shared that they were “working things out.” The following year, she filed for divorce, but they didn’t go through with it.
