In a recent announcement on their Instagram page, Bring Me The Horizon revealed the departure of percussionist Jordan Fish just weeks before their upcoming tour. The band expressed gratitude for the musical journey they shared with Fish and wished him the best in his future endeavors.
The official statement reads: “Bring Me The Horizon has decided to part ways with Jordan Fish. We want to thank him for the musical journey he took with us and wish him luck with everything in the future. Meanwhile, we continue to work on Nex Gen, with brand new music coming very soon. See you on our UK tour in January.”
Jordan Fish, in response, shared on his Instagram page: “I’m really grateful for my 11 years with the band, and extremely proud of all that we have achieved together. I look forward to hearing what they do next and wish them every success in the future. I’m excited to start this next period of my career, focusing for the meantime on songwriting and production.”
The 37-year-old musician joined Bring Me The Horizon in 2012 and played a significant role in co-writing their 2013 album, ‘Sempiternal.’
As the band moves forward, they are set to embark on their UK tour in January, assuring fans that new music from Nex Gen is on the horizon. This development follows their collaboration with Ed Sheeran on a heavy version of his hit song ‘Bad Habits,’ performed at the BRIT Awards in February 2022. Discussions between Bring Me The Horizon and Ed Sheeran about recording a song together had been ongoing, with frontman Oli Sykes expressing excitement about the potential collaboration.
