BTS member J-Hope has unveiled his upcoming album, ‘Hope on the Street Vol. 1’.
Containing six tracks, the album will be complemented by a six-part docuseries chronicling J-Hope’s dance journey. The series will document his interactions with street dancers in Osaka, Paris, New York, Seoul, and Gwangju.
In a statement from BigHit Music, it was emphasized that dance holds a central place in J-Hope’s artistic expression and personal identity.
The premiere episode of the docuseries is slated to debut on Prime Video on March 27, followed by subsequent episodes released every Thursday and Friday. The album itself is scheduled for release on March 29.
Despite currently fulfilling his mandatory military service, the 30-year-old K-pop sensation previously dropped his solo debut album, ‘Jack in the Box’, in 2022, later releasing an expanded ‘HOPE’ edition in the following year.
Meanwhile, BTS, comprising members RM, Suga, Jin, V, Jimin, and Jungkook, ages ranging from 26 to 31, have announced plans for a reunion in 2025.
During the group’s annual FESTA dinner in 2022, they disclosed intentions to focus on individual projects and military obligations.
Reflecting on a conversation with bandmate Suga during a livestream on Weverse in 2023, RM conveyed sentiments regarding their temporary hiatus: “He told me that there were a great number of ARMY [their fans] across the globe wanting the seven of us to reunite and perform again.”
Adding further context, RM emphasized, “But as I’m working on my solo project, I keep thinking this way: ‘This is like a vacation’. What I mean by that is that it’s a kind of vacation that we, BTS and ARMY, need to take to successfully come back as a whole. So, I believe all our solo activities are important trips for our next chapter, and they’re also trips which we must go on in order to safely come back home.”
RM reassured fans, concluding, “We’ll be joining together again. And that will be in 2025.”
