Pop sensation Justin Timberlake has announced the imminent release of his latest musical offering, “Drown.”
The former NSYNC heartthrob took to social media on Monday night to reveal that the second track from his upcoming album, “Everything I Thought It Was,” is set to drop this Friday.
In a post on Instagram, Justin shared the title of the new song along with its release date, treating fans to a sneak peek with a video snippet. The footage featured the multi-talented artist seated at a piano, delivering what seemed to be an emotionally charged ballad.
“Made it out to London, still recovering from this flu. But trying to power through,” penned the 43-year-old singer in the caption, hinting at the challenges he’s faced recently. “So excited for new music and everything coming this week.”
This announcement follows a previous update from Timberlake about battling the flu, shared with his followers on the same platform.
“Drown” is slated to be a part of Justin’s eagerly awaited sixth studio album, “Everything I Thought It Was,” marking his return to solo work since 2018’s “Man of the Woods.”
Earlier this year, on January 25th, the “Suit & Tie” crooner made waves with the release of “Selfish,” his first solo single in nearly six years. The track made an impressive debut, entering the Billboard Hot 100 at number 19.
Fans can mark their calendars for the full album release on March 15th, as Timberlake gears up to deliver another chapter in his musical journey.
