Last weekend marked the second annual Reportin’ For Duty event, a heartfelt tribute honoring the late Leslie Jordan’s legacy of service. The event, held at Humble Baron at Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville, TN, raised over $1 million for the EB Research Partnership (EBRP), an organization dedicated to funding research to treat and cure Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare and debilitating skin disorder.
The evening featured intimate performances by a lineup of esteemed musicians including Post Malone, EBRP Co-Founder Eddie Vedder, The War And Treaty, Jelly Roll, Ruby Amanfu, Jake Wesley Rogers, and Dan Spencer. Their heartfelt performances captivated the audience, contributing to the event’s success.
Eddie Vedder, reflecting on the event, expressed his profound gratitude for the gathering of talented musicians and the impactful cause they supported. He remarked, “I can’t find words to say how powerful and inspiring it was to be gathered with such incredible musicians under one small roof for a cause that’s so impactful on young people’s lives.” Vedder praised the artists for their exceptional performances, highlighting the palpable energy and positivity that permeated the event.
Post Malone, one of the performers, shared his admiration for Eddie Vedder and the EB community, emphasizing his honor in supporting such a worthy cause. He remarked, “I love when music connects me to great people, like Eddie, and good causes, like EB Research Partnership.”
Danny Myrick, the Music Director for Reportin’ for Duty, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to honor Leslie Jordan’s memory and continue his legacy through the event. He stated, “It’s been the honor of a lifetime to take an event that began as a tribute to the wonderful Leslie Jordan and make it a tradition.”
